Officer/Investigator Profiles

Ron Hasegawa, President and CEO

Mr. Hasegawa is a licensed private investigator in Los Angeles (CA PI License# 18100, PPO #13120). Fluent in Japanese and English, Mr. Hasegawa provides investigative services for attorneys, private companies, corporations, and private individuals. With 22 years at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, experience as a U.S. Army Artillery Specialist, and a B.A. in political science from San Diego State University, Ron Hasegawa brings to the position of President and CEO a combined law enforcement, military, and academic background.

Sam Masuda, Vice President – Director of Operations

Mr. Masuda has an extensive 32-year background in law enforcement, including 27 years with the Los Angeles Police Department, where he handled various senior and politically sensitive assignments. As Vice President and Director of Operations, he focuses on intelligence, training, consulting, due diligence investigations, and other security-related areas. Mr. Masuda holds an M.A. in accounting from the University of Southern California.

Scott Butler, Vice President – Director of International Relations

Mr. Butler worked overseas for two years for the Japanese government and is currently an active peace officer with eight years of experience in law enforcement in Southern California. With his varied international background and commitment to quality control, he ensures that the needs and expectations of our diverse client base are fully satisfied. Certified as a Japanese-language translator, Scott Butler has been called upon to assist several police departments in solving high-profile cases. Mr. Butler holds a B.A. in psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Masa Tomizawa, Vice President – Manager of Tokyo Office

Fluent in both Japanese and English, Mr. Tomizawa provides investigative and security consulting services for corporations, private companies, and private individuals. Mr. Tomizawa holds a B.A. in Japanese literature from Keio University in Japan.
